Slowly descending onto a large shipwreck and lightly landing near the ship's wheel can be one of the most awesome, humbling encounters you may ever experience.  The excitement you feel must be tempered with caution as there can be many possible dangers associated with shipwrecks.  With the right training, Wreck Diving can be done safely and become a great adventure.

During the SSI Wreck Diving Specialty Course, techniques will be learned to keep you safe while allowing you to experience the almost mystical encounters with shipwrecks. You will learn how to get background information on wrecks, how to find shipwrecks and how to prepare for and execute a wreck dive.  During the open water dives required for certification, correct wreck diving techniques will be practiced, as well as avoiding the potential dangers that may be encountered while diving on shipwrecks.
